Excelsior Seal‑O‑Damp is a high-tech acrylic damp-sealing coat formulated to combat rising and penetrating damp on interior and exterior brick, plaster, cement, concrete, and masonry surfaces. It seals against moisture ingress, providing an excellent base for subsequent topcoats.

• Advanced hydrophilic acrylic resins penetrate and form a moisture-resistant barrier 

• Clear-to-white finish, offering good opacity and adhesion for water-based emulsion coatings 

• Versatile use: effective on new or sound cement, brick, plaster, and gypsum plasterboards 

• Moisture-tolerant primer: ideal for damp plaster with low moisture, allowing quicker painting schedules 

• Ease of application: applies by brush or roller; requires removal of loose material and a dry substrate before use .

📏 Technical Notes

• Coverage: Approximately 2–6 m² per litre, depending on surface porosity 

• Pack Size: Available in 1 L, 5 L, and 20 L sizes .

• Drying & Overcoating: Allow new plaster to dry fully (ideally two weeks) before application; then overcoat with water-based emulsions once dried

🛠️ Application Tips

1. Prepare surface: remove flaking paint or plaster; repair gaps and allow 2 weeks drying for new render.

2. Apply with brush or roller uniformly, saturating the surface.

3. Allow to dry thoroughly—monitor dampness before applying finish coat.

4. Topcoat with suitable water-based emulsion paint for a durable finish.
